Villa Långstrand is a private 18-hectare (45-acre) coastal estate in the Finnish Archipelago, 90 minutes from Helsinki. Designed for total seclusion, the estate features a long private shoreline and untouched forest, offering a high-end retreat for those who value privacy and lasting quality.
Located directly by the Baltic Sea, the estate offers year-round experiences rooted in Nordic authenticity: long summer evenings by the water, private terraces and sea access; winter stays centred around fireplaces, wood-heated sauna rituals and coastal silence.
Villa Långstrand is not a modern “glass palace” rental. It is a lived and hosted Nordic coastal property designed for guests who value privacy, certainty and quality.
We offer two distinct ways to experience the estate:
Långstrand Luxe: Our flagship villa experience. This is a full-service stay where a private villa is paired with professional hospitality, including dedicated catering and concierge services.
Premium Villa Rentals: High-end, self-catered stays at Villa Mustikka and Villa Pihlajanmarja. These offer the same privacy and estate access for independent guests who prefer to manage their own catering and schedule.
Villa Långstrand is positioned within the premium Nordic coastal segment, defined by:
Private-use villas within a hosted estate environment
Direct sea access
Curated services available upon prior request
Year-round operations
A clear and transparent booking structure
Our focus is on meaningful, well-prepared stays rather than high-frequency turnover.
Villa Långstrand was originally developed in the 1970s by a prominent Finnish entrepreneur whose close relationship with President Urho Kekkonen is documented in contemporary accounts and biographies of the era. Kekkonen is known to have spent time at the estate, which functioned as a private coastal setting within that circle.
The property became locally recognised as a discreet gathering place. Visitors were said to arrive both by road and occasionally by helicopter or seaplane landing on the surrounding waters — a reflection of the estate’s accessibility by sea and its secluded geography.
Although the estate remained a private setting, its atmosphere continues to reflect continuity and quiet significance. Surrounded by forest and Baltic shoreline, it offers a rare combination of discretion, space and calm — qualities that naturally lend themselves to reflection and focused conversation.
Today, we have chosen to preserve that character rather than modernise it beyond recognition. The landscaping remains professionally maintained, privacy carefully protected and the coastal identity intact.
There is a clarity here — a stillness that many guests remark upon. Villa Långstrand remains what it has always been at its core: a private Nordic coastal setting where meaningful time can unfold undisturbed.
The two villas currently available for curated stays were completed in 1989 and 1992 as part of the estate’s long-term development. Over the past five years, we have carefully modernised and refined them to meet contemporary standards of comfort while preserving their architectural character.
Villa Mustikka A modern, 3-bedroom villa built for light and space. It features a private outdoor jacuzzi, expansive terraces, and a secluded location on the estate. It is the ideal choice for those who value contemporary design and generous room to relax.
Villa Pihlajanmarja A traditional 2-bedroom log villa offering an authentic Nordic experience. Built with the same focus on lasting quality, it features a private outdoor jacuzzi and a traditional wood-heated sauna. Located just steps from the shoreline, it provides a cozy, high-quality retreat.
Originally built for private family use and maintained with limited occupancy over the years, both villas retain structural integrity and calm proportions that are increasingly rare in new developments.
Rather than pursuing expansion, our focus has been on thoughtful refinement, durable materials and sustainability — ensuring the estate remains both authentic and relevant for modern guests.
