Located about 25 km southwest of Hanko in the Archipelago Sea, Bengtskär is the tallest lighthouse in the Nordic countries, towering at 52 m above sea level. Today, it’s a popular tourism site with a lighthouse museum, café, guided cruises, even accommodation and a sauna. It can be reached by boat from Hanko in summer.
Hanko is Finland’s southernmost town, known for its long sandy beaches, wooden villas, and relaxed seaside charm. Visitors can enjoy cafés by the marina, views from the Water Tower, and walks along the coastline or forest trails.
